I firmly believe security is important, and once my IT business partner left the company and nobody was responsible for it, I knew I needed to get assurance. Practical Infosec gave us exactly that with their Cyber Security Health Check. I was happy they could work with other key members of the team and didn’t need me throughout the project. They had a very clear process of what steps to take and when, which made it much easier for us.

The informal training I got from this experience also helped me in my personal life. A few months later I had a scam on Booking.com which I was able to spot thanks to going through this process and understanding security more thoroughly. I was able to trust my gut and not follow through with the scam.

Ash and Farzan went through a list of all the software and applications we used, which helped us see what we were and weren’t using. That exercise actually saved us almost $10,000 per year by cancelling subscriptions we didn’t need. These were huge side benefits even though they are not strictly security-related.
